Unconscious patterns, interrupted

Many clients I work with feel successful in many aspects of their lives, but they feel lonely, empty, or disconnected. They are extremely high functioning professionally, but they feel powerless to manage or improve their closest relationships with their partner, their family, their friends, and themselves.

I understand firsthand from events from my own life and my own work in therapy that therapy can offer an opportunity to transform and feel a wholly renewed sense of hope for the future. Wisdom is born from pain that has been transformed.

A bit about me

When I’m not with clients, I enjoy cooking, reading, traveling, playing pickleball, dancing, and spending time outdoors with my kids, my husband, and our dog.  I’m a lover of live music and comedy. I live to try new coffee shops and restaurants. I’m also a regular attendee at therapy conferences so I can stay up-to-date on current trends and new techniques.

A different experience

My clients describe me as authentic, warm and open, deeply empathic, and respectful of each person's unique goals, challenges, and strengths. I am direct and straightforward - but gently. I have a playful way of connecting with my clients and a great sense of humor. I believe laughter is medicine.

I use techniques from several evidence-based approaches for therapy, including: Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Family Systems work, Narrative Therapy, and Gestalt Therapy. In my couples work, I incorporate tools from top couples researchers and teachers, including the works of Esther Perel, Terry Real, John Gottman and Susan Johnson. I attend several trainings each year to stay with the times and bring new material into our work together.

I believe in your ability to choose to move toward happiness, starting today.
